Praxis3 is an award winning architectural, planning and design firm in Midtown Atlanta looking for talented and energetic people to join our growing Web Design Studio.

HISTORY:
Praxis3 was started 10 years ago and has become a solid
Atlanta business entity. Praxis3?s Web Design Studio began as a graphics design extension of the architectural studio. This studio is only 18 months old but has already won numerous awards for its work. In addition to the Praxis3 marketing materials, including the praxis3.com website, we work for other public / private companies as well as non-profit organizations. Currently, the Web Design Studio is in the midst of another evolutionary phase and is looking for Programmers with experience in applications development for the Internet. This expansion involves several avenues, including building applications that will be provided as subscription-based products (ASP model).

TECH SPECIFICS:

We currently work in a LAMP environment (Linux/ Apache2/ MySQL/ PHP). A solid understanding of and experience using all of the LAMP technologies, particularly PHP, is non-negotiable. In addition, English language written and verbal communication skills must be excellent.

You get bonus points if you know AJAX, Javascript and DHTML. Other bonus point winners are: RSS/ATOM; Secure transmission technologies; XML; J2EE; ANT; Subversion.

You?ll be working with the team to design and create Web-based applications. You?ll need to be detailed and analytical to see problems & present possible solutions or know when to just fix it yourself.

You?ll assist with project planning phases & schedules for development. You?ll provide technical leadership in enhancing, maintaining, refactoring, ?paying code debts?, archiving code as necessary. You?ll also lead in writing test-driven code. It would be great if you could lead the way in designing, writing, and testing batch reporting processes.

With the team, you?ll design and help maintain our database and source code management server. You?ll coordinate testing activities with the team. Best of all, you will write, test and debug code.

You will be working with an existing dynamic and capable team of developers, a graphic artist and a designer who share in most of the above tasks. The team continues to grow!
