Project Manager III

Monitor e-procurement trends in selected customer segments worldwide to assist management in prioritization of investment in this area. Serve as the funnel point for communications, prioritization, and direction for B2B capabilities for Life Science and IT.Drive B2B development projects with corporate IT, LSG IT, the Web Team, Global Marketing, and/or Marketing Communications to meet the needs of Life Science customers and regional Sales goals. Play a lead role in the development of a centralized corporate-wide Product Master, and 'eCatelog' management system to allow international eBusiness managers to access headquarters data in order to fulfill local B2B9 (e.g. CIF file preparation) requirements. Manage Bio-Rad's relationship with Ariba and Sciquest, or other third parties, as appropriate and necessary to further our position with customers.

BA/BS degree. MBA or similar a plus.

At least 5 years practical experience in marketing, eProcurment, direct sales, e-commerce/intranet, IT and/or project management is required. Experience in business or IT from either the Supplier or Buyers side of eProcurement essential. Experience in the Life Science 9(or related ) industry, and project management experience is preferred. Ability to understand and work effectively with IT, Field Sales management, Marketing Communications, product and international Marketing staff, business and corporate management and directly with customers. Effective at communicating, leading and/or facilitating work from and with all of them. The successful candidate will therefore have outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills, be able to effectively communicate with both senior management, purchasing and /or IT within our customer organizations as well as within Bio-Rad's. The candidate will be goal-oriented and highly self-motivated with a high level, working understanding of eProcurement systems and trends, eCommerece, EDI, XML, web site design and web technologies.
