QA Specialist - E-Commerce

Quality Assurance Specialists are responsible for supervising the testing of our client?s Web applications, insuring project schedules and deadlines are met. This is a hands-on position. The Quality Assurance Specialist will create and execute Test Strategies and Test Plans to insure proper operation and absence of defects. Additional responsibilities include: manage the testing process; provide estimates of new projects, document all defects via an issue tracking system; report on issues and testing progress to management/project team; run regression tests; recommend quality improvements to current procedures; attend bug status meetings with internal staff and/or clients; work directly with development teams to insure all applications meet our high standard of quality; be a Quality Assurance process and procedure advocate. Other duties which may be assigned from time to time as business needs require.

 

 

Qualifications:

?  Four-year college degree in a Computer field or equivalent experience

?  4+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in QA

?  2 years experience testing eCommerce, consumer facing websites

?  Strong knowledge and experience with software quality assurance process and methodologies required

?  Experience working with billable clients a plus

?  Experience with Java, .Net,  and asp environments

?  Knowledge and experience with database systems a plus, but not required

?  Excellent oral and written communication skills needed, presentation skills a plus

?  Automated testing experience a plus

?  Positive attitude; passionate about quality

?  Able to work with remote teams

?  Able to work independently as well as with a team

?  Excellent time management and organizational skills

?  Strong attention to detail

?  Able to work in a fast-paced team environment

?  Able to handle multiple priorities working as part of a team

?  Able to meet deadlines

?  Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook

?  Ability to work overtime as needed
