**Seeking Adobe Acrobat-trained candidates for temporary Production Assistant assignment at CTB/McGraw-Hill**

 

Primary Responsibilities:



 

On this temporary, 6-8 week assignment, you will work with a team of Production Assistants under the supervision of a Production Manager to track and manipulate the passage of electronic files through a critical phase of the test production process.  Production Assistants will utilize Adobe Acrobat and Fetch software, as well as MS Word, Excel and some Adobe InDesign to complete these and other tasks as requested. All work will be completed on a Mac.  Additional duties may include updating project schedules in MS Excel; downloading, decompressing and printing electronic files from FTP sites; organizing materials for vendor sendout; and providing general clerical support to multiple team members.  Employees will be trained to use Fetch.

Qualifications:

 
Substantive electronic file management experience using Adobe Acrobat on a Macintosh platform.
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel & Word.  Additional exposure to Adobe InDesign and other page production software preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Publishing, print or production experience desired.
Page composition design background helpful.
