Senior Interaction Designer

Move Inc. is looking for a talented Interaction Designer to join our user experience team.

As the Interaction Designer, you will collaborate with the product management, marketing, technology, creative and business development teams to gather requirements and feedback for creating new web product concepts and refining existing websites on the Move Inc. network, and then work to formally design site structure, labeling and navigation for those web products.

Responsibilities:
Create user-centered design methods to develop user interface specifications such as use cases, sitemaps, flow diagrams, wireframes and final interface documentation. Ensure usability best practices as applies to interaction and information organization, work with user experience researchers to translate usability study finding into improved interface designs. Work with Visual Designers to ensure the graphic design is consistent with the UI requirements and usability best practices. Coordinate with the creative team, product team and engineering to ensure sitemap, flow diagrams and wireframes are properly translated to the live site and ensure that the look and fell is consistent with a positive user experience. Will also participate in building an internal design pattern library to maintain consistency in site behaviors across a network of websites.

Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in design, Library science, Psychology, HCI, Human Factors or related fields with 4 yrs.experience in design, information architecture or user interface design for web applications or consumer web sites is required. You must have the ability to design and document the user experience of web applications (interaction flows, wireframes, sitemaps, and user interface design). Be proficiency with Visio and understanding of various web technologies such as HTML,CSS, XHTML, Ajax, JavaScript and flash. Must also have experience working with high-traffic consumer websites or e-commerce sites, usability testing, visual design and prototyping
