Role Summary

The Senior Business Development Executive is responsible for developing, qualifying, and acquiring new clients that are in need of Internet and online marketing services.  In addition to acquiring new clients, the Senior Business Development Executive also offers additional services to existing clients.  In both scenarios, WebMetro advocates a consultative solution selling approach that helps build long term relationships with its clients.

 

Approximately 70% of your day will consist of phone contact with these prospects and clients.  The remainder of your day will consist of web site based research, compiling presentations and proposals.  The majority of your phone contact /conference calls will be with Presidents, CEOs, Marketing Directors, and various decision makers or influence makers of small, mid-sized and larger companies.

 

The Senior Business Development Executive will also attend trade shows as well as travel to some client facilities.  The amount of travel is not expected to exceed 15%.

 

This is a full time position (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm) at the WebMetro office.



Responsibilities:Daily prospecting (no territories, national account reach) ? most leads will be provided but will require some cold callingPerforming research, compiling data and developing written proposalsManagement of personal sales pipeline and lead qualification Ensuring customer hand-off flows smoothly with production team Developing referral opportunities Up selling, cross selling to current clientsAttending trade shows or conferences and visiting client facilitiesAchieving sales goals


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the first-hand knowledge and experience of Internet or online marketing campaigns and web design projects from either the agency or client side. It must also be experienced in B2B Sales. This knowledge and experience include but is not limited to SEO, PPC, paid inclusion, shopping engines, affiliate marketing, display advertising and web design for ecommerce.

 A minimum of 2-4 years in search engine marketing, specifically in PPC campaign management and SEO and a minimum of 2-4 years selling B2B services.Knowledge of best practice SEO/PPC strategies & implementation Understanding of keyword research Familiarity with display advertising (online media planning) Experience with ad copy development Knowledge of web analytics & reporting products such as OMNITUREProficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Internet ExplorerFamiliarity with HTML and other web development languages The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks simultaneously Strong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, eagerness to meet and exceed objectives Post-secondary degree or certification in related area or equivalent experience in account management/sales, preferably in the Internet or technology industry.
