Senior Manager, Technical Accounting

Description: The Senior Manager - Technical Accounting will actively lead consulting with the business on technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with US GAAP and work to structure transactions to achieve the goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:
o Provide technical accounting expertise throughout the organization.
o Consult with business on a regular basis to ensure awareness of transactions, M&A and changes that have a potential accounting impact.
o Assist in structuring transactions to maximize operating and accounting goals.
o Assess issues and impact of technical accounting matters and manage to conclusions with appropriate inclusion of auditors and business owners.
o Assess implications of new accounting standards on accounting organization and work on associated projects to implement.
o Develop and present training to the business owners.
o Prepare for audit committee presentations.
o Prioritize team projects and initiatives amongst team and wider finance organization.
o Present and assist with issues and projects for senior finance management (CAO and CFO).
o Mentor managers and analysts within the team.

Qualifications:
Requirements:
o Strong knowledge of US GAAP, CPA required
o +8 years of experience with Big Four, preferred
o Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
o Valid passport for international travel
o Strong analytical, leadership, organizational and problem resolution skills, ability to work with diverse groups
o Excellent verbal and written communication along with superior presentation skills mandatory
o Proactive approach and strong analytical skills with ability to research and simplify complex situations.
o Good sense of humor and ability to create and maintain a balanced, positive work environment
