Newegg is seeking Senior Product Managers reporting to either the Vice President of Product Management, Information Technology (IT) or Vice President of Management, Consumer Electronics (CE). Senior Product Managers are responsible for purchasing the highest quality IT and/or consumer electronics merchandise at the lowest possible price for resale on www.newegg.com. Candidates must have product management, merchandising or product sourcing experience in the IT or consumer electronics industry.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Senior Product Managers are valued and key members of the product management team. The positions will be based at Newegg?s headquarters in the City of Industry, about 30 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, CA. Senior Product Managers will be tasked generally with:
Examining, selecting, ordering and purchasing the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors.Work with vendors to ensure that they keep Newegg competitive from a cost, services and technology standpoint.Vendor relationship management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor/supplier sourcing and day-to-day relationship management. Includes communication with suppliers regarding contract negotiations (e.g. pricing, payment terms, volume discounts, delivery, RMA terms, etc.), PO processing, RMA management, refurbished product management, merchandising, MDF/Co-op negotiation and coordination. Responsible for maintaining vendor information and profiles in our internal systems. Analyze and monitor sales records, industry trends and economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns and determine what the company will sell and how much inventory is needed.Define product strategies and lead a cross-functional team to bring new products to market based on those strategies.Inventory and pricing management, product planning, sourcing and acquisitions. Business analysis, writing detailed business requirements and managing the implementation of projects, including Internet content, user experience design and online communication features.Understand the competition from a product and positioning perspective.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will come from a fast-paced, efficient organization with emphasis on the bottom-line and delivering results. Candidates with experience in B2C companies with major distribution and overseas (particularly Greater China) operations would be highly desirable.
Experience:
? At least 5 years of relevant and progressive experience in IT or consumer electronics goods business through e-commerce, retail or distribution industries. Must have experience in a senior product management, purchasing or sales role with a demonstrated ability to drive product implementation and strategy. Manufacture background is a plus.
? Must have solid understanding and knowledge of industry trends, market share and IT and/or consumer products.
? Expertise in a particular IT field such as motherboard, VGA, CPU, hard drive, memory, display, networking or peripherals highly desired.
? Experience with retail and/or distribution business and understanding of the operations of a fast-paced, high-volume, low margin business focused on quality customer service.Ability to analyze products and product specifications in supplier proposals.Ability to research and analyze products and market trends.Ability to initiate sales plans and forecasts, generate and analyze sales reports and data.Strong merchandising and vendor negotiation skills.Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to help facilitate communication both within the company and with outside relationship partners.B.S. degree in business or related area or equivalent experience.Possesses self-confidence and strong team-player orientation.
