Senior Product Marketing Manager, Online & Portal

The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Online & Portal is responsible for managing strategic marketing activities related to EarthLink?s Value Added Services (VAS) Business Unit.

Specifically, this position will be focused on developing and owning the marketing strategy and demand generation efforts for EarthLink?s portal, myEarthLink (http://my.earthlink.net/), as well as support efforts of subsequent releases. Additionally, responsible for marketing free/ad supported VAS products and services (includes EarthLink?s Free Web Mail, and the EarthLink Toolbar).

Overall responsibilities: Creating and tracking marketing promotions and quantitative analysis, strategic marketing, identifying sales and marketing channels, promotion planning, positioning, expense budgeting and forecasting to meet revenue goals. Proven ability to ensure products and services meet the needs of EarthLink's target consumer, identify risks and opportunities, and determine the benefit of a particular feature or new product.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is a matrix management position, which involves program management of key project team members from Marketing, Finance, and Product Management, as well as other positions required to develop profitable products that meet consumer requirements and sales forecasts.


Skills/Experience
? Requires a bachelor's degree in business or technology field; Master's degree preferred.
? Minimum of five years experience in product marketing, brand management or product management is also required.
? Candidates must have demonstrated experience in developing effective marketing campaigns or profitable product lines. Ability to frame the unique selling proposition, as well as, maintain knowledge about primary competitors? products and services.
? Marketing experience within the high-tech, computer software, telecommunications or Internet industry segments preferred.
? Experience handling multiple deliverables, developing strong interdepartmental relationships, as well as strong oral and written communication skills, are also required.
? Developing business cases for the rollout of new products inclusive of target customer and sizing, sales forecasts, product ROI analysis and baseline promotional needs
