Senior Technical Project Manager - Lexington, MA

As Senior Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for program and project management of key business initiatives. This position leads cross functional teams of technical, creative, marketing, and manufacturing resources in software development projects from conceptualization through implementation, including phases such as analysis, requirements definition, technical design, build, deploy, and capture value. In addition Senior Technical Project Managers act as liaisons to Business Units, such as Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance, helping them prioritize, scope, and refine initiative roadmaps will enable further company growth.

Projects may include new product introductions, development of new website functionality, expansion of customer care functions, or the deployment of ERP/MRP or HRIS systems.

Essential Functions:

- Manages key strategic internal client relationships with project stakeholders and senior management.
- Drives project requirements, priorities and deadlines, not just record & manage them.
- Leads highly skilled, cross-functional teams--software developers, IT Operations, vendors, business stakeholders and consultants--across one or more projects. Manage large-scale software integration and customization.
- Develops and manages budget for assigned project(s), monitors project progress and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly. Prepares and presents progress reports for management.
- Interacts at very high levels with decision-makers both internally and externally. Manages expectations and provides master project planning to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are met cost effectively and according to project timeline commitments.
- Solves problems. Prioritizes deliverables and manages project scope.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements Include:

- 5+ years of experience in the selection, development, or integration of large software applications including ERP applications or similar
- Manager level experience at a large consulting firm strongly preferred
- Proven ability to run cross-functional technology projects with full scale responsibility
- Previous experience as a software developer or application architect strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of 80/20 prioritization
- The ability to quickly analyze and solve problems in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a similar field
