Senior UI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Web Application Developer with solid technical skills and a passion for building great products. This position requires architecting, designing and developing front-end web applications highly optimized for supporting a massive user base of tens of millions of users. We are seeking a talented, motivated UI Developer to join the engineering team. You will work closely with our UI designers to implement next generation web applications with user insight and scalable performance in mind. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing creative solutions for a user-centric web experience and participate in concept development and design ideation. Please note however that this is not a creative design position though we appreciate all creative inputs.QualificationsBS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields 5+ years of industry experience Expertise in cross-platform DHTML, XHTML, CSS 2.0, JavaScript 1.5, XML, XSLT, AJAX and PHP Extensive experience with Apache, JSP, Struts and other MVC frameworks Programming wizardry in C/C++, Java Development experience on UNIX server platforms Web standards experience Strong command of cross-browser compatibility issues, optimization techniques (both in file weight and perceived/actual rendering speed) Strong knowledge and keen interest in emerging tools and technologies in the industry Fast learner - can quickly come up to speed with different technologies and develop prototypes as needed Most important, we want self-motivated builders with a real urge to change the world through their creations. Strong work ethic, flexibility, good initiative, proven attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work well within a diverse, challenging, and rewarding environment is required.
