Genesis Exchange is the leading exchange for private companies and accredited investors. Genesis Exchange is a fast paced high growth business that needs motivated, high quality people.


Genesis Exchange has an immediate need for an experienced software engineer to develop new web applications and maintain/enhance existing applications. This person should be self motivated, able to work with minimum supervision, and must have pride in their work. New application development will be done with ASP.NET 1.1 and ASP.NET 2.0. Existing applications are built with ASP.NET 1.1. and all applications are written in C#. Day-to-day activities will include all aspects of web development, from needs assessments to implementation, including prototyping, designing, coding, testing, debugging, maintaining and support.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Create and extend an efficient, leading edge, and re-usable technology platform. Write technical design specifications. Design and implement product features. Maintain, debug and resolve product issues. Recommend and implement software engineering best practices. Maintain a close relationship with QA to ensure high quality software.

 

Education and Experience: Computer Science Degree, Computer Engineering Degree, or equivalent. 2+ years of industry experience with significant development responsibilities 2+ years of .NET Framework and object-oriented design and implementation experience (C# is a plus). Experience with scalable, multi-tier web service architectures, .NET, IIS, SQL server, dhtml/javascript (cross-browser). Experience with critical online business applications requiring a high level of stability and reliability.Solid understanding of configuration management concepts (Team Foundation Server is a plus).
