Software Engineer - Internet Applications

Velocity Services, Inc. (VSI) located near LAX in El Segundo is currently hiring Software Engineers / Programmers / Developers with extensive Internet programming skills and a strong knowledge of Windows applications and internet protocols.

 

We provide highly customized web solutions for our affinity partners (Private Label Communications). Our webmail, portal, and toolbar applications are state-of-the-art. If you are a seasoned client application or server programmer, and want to work with the latest technologies, VSI is your next career choice.

 

Although we are taking applications for developers, DBAs and Q/A engineers at various levels, our current focus is on finding senior level programmers to join our team. Successful candidates for server technologies will have experience with high availability features, performance tuning and Internet protocols. Successful candidates for client app technologies will have seasoning with webmail, portal and/or toolbar applications written for IE, Firefox and other browsers. We need people with knowledge in Windows programming, GUI applications, TCP/Multi-threading, Java Script, C#, Delphi, C++, AJAX, SQL Server, and MySQL.

Requirements:

*2-4+years Programming/development/software engineering experience.

*Experience with .NET and C#/C++/C preferred.

*Experience with development for large, high volume websites a preference.

*Experience with Firefox development highly desired.

*AJAX training and/or experience is a big plus.

*MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
