Sports Promotions Manager (Professional Sport Leagues)

GSI Commerce provides an e-commerce solution enabling retailers, branded manufacturers, entertainment companies and professional sports organizations to operate e-commerce businesses. The company's e-commerce solution includes Web site design and development, e-commerce technology, managed hosting, order fulfillment, customer service, merchandising and order management, online merchandising, customer relationship management, content development and online marketing. The company operates either all or a portion of the e-commerce businesses for approximately 45 partners. GSI Commerce trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the symbol, GSIC.

This position will be responsible for working with the corporate sponsor community in each of our professional sports leagues to activate league commerce activity through national and regional co-promotions with league sponsors. The specific responsibilities include:

Work with league personell and league corporate sponsors to develop major integrated marketing promotions which will drive consumers to the ecommerce stores to induce a purchase

Work with corporate sponsors to sell in 'GSI Services Opportunities'

Create promotions that also result in store database growth

Create visibility within the league community to the ecommerce stores and catalogs as a viable means to achieve corporate promotional objectives

Achieve pre-established revenue and profitability targets

5 years in the sports corporate selling environment

Proven track record in establishing league sponsor marketing programs

Clear understanding of the licensed sports business

Network of contacts in the league and the league corporate sponsors

Strong negotiatin skills

Attention to detail

Sense of urgency and dedicated work ethic

Understanding of ecommerce and intenet metrics
