Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Description: As a member of eBay's Program Management team, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will help define product and architectural direction associated with large and complex projects. The BSA will work closely with the architecture, product development and product definition teams during the planning, design and analysis phases of a project. This role will involve understanding, validating and detailing the objectives and requirements to ensure a suitable end-to-end solution. Potential areas of focus are:

o Act as a liaison to the between the architecture, business, product management and development organizations, helping to define strategic objectives and align product strategies.
o Facilitate meetings to understand and collect product, business and technical needs.
o Resolve ambiguities and conflicting business and technical requirements to build consensus.
o Proactively identify issues concerning technical limitations and key product requirements.
o Maintain and manage relationships with outside vendors and consultants.

Qualifications:
o 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst experience and 5+ years of Program/Project Management experience
o Strong background in business systems analysis, focusing on the planning, analysis and design phases of the product development life cycle
o Ability to communicate verbally and in writing complex design and technical issues as well as business and product requirements clearly and succinctly
o Ability to understand and challenge technical proposals
o Ability to develop Use Cases
o Project management background with a focus on product development lifecycle
o Strong presentation and documentation skills, proficient in PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Excel
Demonstrated:
o Ability to summarize and present complex issues to a variety of audiences: technical, non-technical and executive personnel
o Technical familiarity and aptitude
o Flexibility and adaptability to fit the need of the project, making progress despite ambiguity
o Ability to work within existing processes, but able to understand and define where new, different or abridged processes should be used
o Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as events warrant
o Ability to work across group boundaries and forge cross-functional relationships
