Sr. Ecommerce Analyst (Los Angeles, CA)

GSI Commerce provides an e-commerce solution enabling retailers, branded manufacturers, entertainment companies and professional sports organizations to operate e-commerce businesses. The company's e-commerce solution includes Web site design and development, e-commerce technology, managed hosting, order fulfillment, customer service, merchandising and order management, online merchandising, customer relationship management, content development and online marketing. The company operates either all or a portion of the e-commerce businesses for approximately 45 partners. GSI Commerce trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the symbol, GSIC.

The Sr. E-Commerce Analyst plays a leading role in managing key elements of an e-commerce business. This individual works closely with the e-commerce director to take ownership for specific projects and critical elements of day-to-day operations. The role typically includes overall website management and process improvement, site merchandising and promotions, liaison with customer service and fulfillment, site enhancements and other technology projects, analysis of site performance and marketing reporting.

The Sr. E-Commerce Analyst adds value to GSI Commerce and its partners in the following ways:
1. Operations ' Liaison with customer service and the fulfillment center to create a unified customer experience. Position key operational groups as extensions of the business management team.
2. Project Management ' Successfully manage both site enhancement and technology projects. Bring projects to closure and ensure appropriate communication to internal and external audiences.
3. Relationship Management ' Build strong rapport with key partner team members including managing relationships, setting expectations and communicating the status of site operations and projects.
4. Business Management ' Execute, document and improve site operations and processes including merchandising, marketing and creative.
5. Business Analysis ' Conduct regular and ad hoc analysis of the site, business opportunities and marketing. Develop recommendations and solutions resulting from data.
6. Business Growth ' Contribute to the overall team goal of exceeding the sales and profit forecasts for the business.

The successful Sr. E-Commerce Analyst will have the following attributes:

1. 4 or more years of professional experience.
2. Retail e-commerce experience, knowledge and expertise.
3. Strong operational experience. Capable of managing operational issues/tasks and managing solutions. Understanding of e-commerce technology systems, fulfillment and warehousing, and call center/customer care.
4. Knowledge of consumer electronics and/or wireless products and services.
5. Solid communication skills.
6. Exceptional project management skills. Great with PowerPoint.
7. Strong relationship-building experience in a client-facing role.
8. Excellent business development and solution selling skills.
9. Problem solving, business analysis and quantitative skills. Capable of proactive efforts in seeking solutions.
10. Demonstrated ability to exceed expectations and incorporate urgency and strong service ethic into the job.
11. College Degree.
