JOB SUMMARY:

These positions are responsible for coding in the display level in our client web sites.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

q Provide senior level coding and analysis expertise for the content programming team using JavaScript, HTML, CSS and a proprietary content management system

q Participate in analyzing projects that involve the display layer and assisting in providing the best technological solution.

q Develop innovative, low-cost, and low-maintenance solutions for our customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES) REQUIRED:

q Expert level skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (4+ years).

q Advanced proficiency and extensive knowledge of web development, design technologies, and publishing applications (3+ years).

q Must be proficient with web usability and navigation standards, including web browser features and limitations.

q BS/MS-level degree or corresponding education/knowledge/relevant work experience in software design.

q Background in designing and developing Object-Oriented software.

q Detailed understanding of XML/XSL and related technologies (XPATH, Schemas, etc).

q Significant experience in designing and maintaining web-based Flash applications a plus.

q Familiarity with streaming video encoding applications and players a plus.

q Experience with other scripting/programming languages (e.g. Java, Perl) and unix command-line experience a plus.

q Capable of operating effectively with a team in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven software development environment.

q Able to learn proprietary applications to complete tasks.

q Creative thinker who can quickly develop innovative ideas and solutions.

q Must have good communication skills with the ability to articulate programming concepts to a variety of audiences and interact with other departments to complete projects on time.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

q Job requires working on a personal computer an average of 7 hours per day.

q Job requires frequent communication in person, via telephone and e-mail.

q Job requires ability to work occasionally on evenings and weekends to meet aggressive deadlines.
