Job Description: Business Overview ESPN.com offers a wide array of opportunities for technically oriented individuals interested in building the Internet's leading sports destination. Members of the production team at ESPN.com are responsible for conceiving, developing and implementing technologically superior Internet interfaces, products and applications. Technology drives many of the most successful and highest profile elements of ESPN.com, including products such as ESPN Motion, MyESPN, Fantasy Football League Manger, Sports Nation, RealTime Scores and GameCast, among others. Opportunities are currently available for engineers, technical producers and technical project managers at varying experience levels in the areas of Sports and Automation Development: Site and Page Development: Fantasy Games: Search and Commerce: Traffic and Analytics: and Technical Product Management
Job Requirements and Responsibilities - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or a related technology field with 2 years experience in a technical role, preferably with a high-traffic, professional web site.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Experience working with a structured programming language.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS. Extensive experience writing DHTML and JavaScript to create dynamic, streamlined online user experiences.
- Proven ability to devise unique and innovative products and solutions.
- At least 2 years of strong project management experience, with projects ranging from a few days to many months.
- Experience writing technical specs and driving them through development. Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once.
- Strong communication skills.
