Technical Producer for MLB.com

MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM) is the interactive media and Internet Company of Major League Baseball. MLBAM manages the official league site, each of the 30 Club sites, Minor League Baseball Sites, and Player sites thereby creating the most comprehensive Major League Baseball resource on the Internet. We are seeking to immediately fill a Technical Producer position.

Reports to:
Technical Production Manager(s)

Description:
The Technical Producer creates, updates and manages MLBAM network features and functionality. (S)he collaborates with design, front-end, technical, and editorial / marketing teams to complete technical production projects. Technical Producers are able to manage projects from conception to implementation, while multi-tasking and working under strict deadlines.

Responsibilities:
? Ensure accurate implementation of visual design, user interfaces and information architecture
? Create highly optimized HTML and CSS
? Work alongside designers and developers to meet functional requirements
? Perform page-level front-end browser/OS testing
? Document relevant processes and tools for use by other departments (editorial, marketing, e-commerce, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:
? Solid experience working in Website production, agency or corporate site environment, with a focus on frequently updated, strong editorial and multimedia content.
? Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML, CSS; producing 'clean' code that others can use
? Good working knowledge of content management systems and image creation tools (PhotoShop, Illustrator)
? Experience with JavaScript, JSP, DHTML, Flash preferred
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Candidate should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
? Strong communication, presentation, organization, problem-solving, critical-thinking and leadership skills
? Must be a team-player
? Ability to work long hours sometimes and/or on-call shifts may be required
