Technical Project Specialist

Our client is an International development organization headquartered in Washington, DC.? The Technical Project Specialist will work with technical teams of varying skill sets in developing countries around the world.

The Technical Project Specialist is responsible for ensuring high quality and on-time delivery of project milestones for a web based information sharing system for developing countries, governments, and philanthropic organizations. This position is headquartered in Washington, DC but will require 30% international travel to developing nations.?

Areas of responsibility are: project management, technical consulting/assessment, testing and documentation.?

Responsibilities

Technical Assistance/Consulting

????? ?Responsible for technical evaluation, architecture, and technical needs assessment.

???????? Responsible for contributing to new product development, testing, and in country project management.

?

Project ManagementResponsible for working with partners, external clients and technical resources to ensure that project milestones are met on time and done to client satisfaction. Will act as the technical liaison for partner and client questions.

Documentation

??????? Responsible for capturing, documenting and maintaining new requirements for systems.

????????? Responsible for creating user documentation and training materials.

????????? Responsible for system testing and follow-up with technical team.

?

Required Education & ExperienceBachelor?s degree required. Computer Science/Engineering degree preferred.4+ years of relevant experience.Previous experience in Project Management, internet applications ?installation, requirements gathering, and testing (manual and automated) Professional experience in developing countries is a plus.Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is preferable.
