Usability Designer

Usability Designer, User Experience, Design, Site Plans

A large retailer in the Metro Richmond area is looking for a Usability Designer to be responsible for designing web-based applications based on user experience. This strategic thinker will handle a variety of design projects to support key website pages.; The ideal candidate will be a HTML expert who has experience with information architecture and usability.

Responsibilities:
Design HTML prototypes, visual interfaces and interactivity of web-based applications
Analyze user research and usability testing conclusions to plan designs
Collaborate with teams and maintain strong working relationships
Evaluate the effectiveness of projects and processes
Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy
Select style and size of type
Arrange layout

Experience:
4 years experience in related field
Project management experience
Proficiency with HTML, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and MS Office
Experience creating JavaScript code
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Solid artistic and organizational skills
Strong analysis and decision making ability
Understanding of InDesign and Flash a plus
