JOB SUMMARY:This individual contributor is a strategic member of the BDB Discovery Labware Marketing Services Organization.  Primary responsibility includes leading the business unit web media content and design, aligning with both the business segment and business unit web media / eBusiness goals.  Manages web media on a day to day basis ensuring:  1) integrity and accuracy;  2) functionality of the online catalog and Marketing intranet site.  Maintains strong and positive relationships across BD Biosciences and Corporate, as well as third party vendors to ensure Discovery Labware's needs are sufficiently communicated and acted upon. Responsible for ensuring product and promotional information for use in external communications (i.e. web, electronic media) is up to date.  Coordinates all electronic marketing (i.e. email blasts, Webinars, surveys).  The successful candidate will be subject matter expert for web site continuous improvement initiatives and applicable technological advances.  15% travel is required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:  Typically requires a BS/BA in Marketing, Communications - Life Sciences coursework or degree preferred.  Excellent web development and design skills required; e-Commerce and e-Marketing skills strongly desired. Requires 3-5 years of Marketing Communications or Web Management experience with demonstrated ability to:  Be a productive team member, be influential, and be an independent player. Knowledge of HTML, content management systems, web reporting tools, electronic commerce, and databases is absolutely required. Proven well developed communication and organizational skills a must; examples of creativity required; must be a continual, self motivated learner.
