Web Analytics Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Web Analytics Manager to work in our San Diego facility supporting our Consumer Tax Group/TurboTax. As Web Metrics Manager for the Consumer Tax Group, you will be a firm advocate for customers of TurboTax.com and other Intuit tax web sites. Your mission will be to research and report on the experience of users of these sites and turn this research into actionable recommendations to accomplish business objectives. You will implement, report, and manage data from Foresee surveys, Web Testing, and Omniture SiteCatalyst.

The ability to evangelize the importance of user-oriented sites and data-driven decision-making will be critical. Creativity is key, as you will need to measure site usability and effectiveness while turning data into actionable recommendations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Web Visitor Behavior DataCreate web marketing metrics and analytics dashboards with input from marketing leaders; analyze and report holistically on a weekly basis. Educate the Consumer Tax marketing organization on the value of site metrics and usability; teach project management leaders how to use standard Omniture dashboards to make actionable recommendations.

o Create, review and submit weekly metrics reports from all data sources for overall marketing dashboard. Include metrics definitions, and suggestions for further analysis.

o Assist in automation efforts needed for executive-level reporting (Excel, extracts, SQL, etc).

o Define and manage Omniture beacons on all business unit web sites; partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that JavaScript tags don?t conflict with other site requirements.

Web Visitor Experience Data

o Define and manage web site surveys, partnering with corporate marketing team. Use surveys to measure the drivers of customer satisfaction, determine overall satisfaction, measure the impact on future satisfaction scores, and predict customers' behavior.

o Analyze Foresee customer research and provide analysis and recommendations to improve site performance. Report monthly to web team leaders and marketing leaders, about watchpoints and recommendations for action. Review customer data weekly and coordinate with web team members to create, measure, and analyze ongoing site improvements.

Web Testing Data

o Coordinate user testing to define best "convince me to buy solutions" and improve customer satisfaction scores. Testing may include online surveys, remote user testing, lab user testing, or multivariate testing on the live sites.

o Work with web testing teams to define, execute, analyze, and present results of A/B and multivariate tests to marketing leaders and team members.

 

Emerging Practices Leadership

o Communicate clearly and frequently with outside vendors to ensure business unit information needs are met, and that tools are used effectively.

o Stay current with industry technology and drive metrics tools with current vendors for the benefit of Intuit.

o Develop best practice approaches for analyzing user behavior on the web site(s); as well as general tracking set-up, and data interpretation. Educate and advise internal groups on how to best leverage available data and tools. Collaborate with corporate teams for ongoing learnings.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

o 3 - 10 years of web metrics experience, including 2 years of experience implementing and using Omniture or similar tools such as ClickTracks, WebTrends, and Hitbox.

o BA or BS Quantitative coursework (mathematics, statistics, computer science) a plus, but not necessarily required.

o Experience in website design, user flow and information architecture and its impact on the customer experience (e.g. navigation).

o Experience in designing and implementing online surveys about web site user experience.

o Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources.

o Expert at Excel.

o Business Analysis experience in large size companies with multiple functions/divisions helpful.

o Ability to work independently, exercise judgment and business acumen
