Web Application Project Manager

The Basic Function of Position:
Guides a project from conception through launch, including communicating deadlines with stakeholders (internal), the Manager of Web Application Development, and the development team. Ensures that all requirements are documented and met when the project launches. Alerts Manager of Web Application Development of project delays, resource issues or other concerns.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages project teams and timelines.
- Communicates all project-related items to the development team and Manager of Web Application Development
- Serves as the business owners? go-to person for project-related items.
- Visualizes the impact of a solution across the Foundation.
- Advocates for quality and standardization of processes across the Foundation.
- Recommends improvements to existing online processes as necessary.
- Gathers requirements and seeks clarification if business analyst is unavailable.
- Assists with testing of the applications to verify that they meet business requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- At least two years Web site/application project management experience.
- At least one year?s experience gathering and documenting business, user, system/process and functional requirements for Web-related projects
- Extensive knowledge of Web design, Web development, and Web best practices.
- Experience working in a consulting role, preferably for an interactive agency.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrable Software Development Lifecycle and various delivery methodology experience.
- Familiarity with Information Architecture and User Experience design preferred.
- Excellent communication (written/oral) and facilitation skills.
- Able to interact well both with internal customers and project teams (developers, business analyst, information architect, etc.)
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working independently.
- Experience with non-profit or charitable organizations recommended.
- Software: MS Project, Photoshop, Visio, Sharepoint
- Familiarity with ASP, .NET and SQL a plus - not looking for a coder, but someone who has worked with these technologies as a project manager.
