POSITION PURPOSE:

Design, build, and maintain scalable, dynamic websites for various Affinity customers. Achieve aggressive deadlines and creative goals using a blend of creative and technical skills.  Contribute information architecture, interface design, and usability skills, utilizing various technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP and MySQL.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Architect, develop and implement custom web solutions for Affinity customers

? Integrate third party applications and plug-in modules to efficiently meet customer?s needs

? Assist in the gathering and analysis of requirements for new web applications

? Work closely with sales team, and custom web coordinator to strategize and plan solutions to best meet our customers needs

? Accurately estimate time frames for work to be done to be included in sales proposals

? Deliver projects within allotted timelines

? Work with online marketing team and content writers to ensure all sites delivered are maximized for SEO

 

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

? Proven skills as a hand-coding expert with experience and a strong comfort level working with PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL (AJAX knowledge a plus)

? Must have 3+ years experience in web and database development; from design through development, QA/testing, and deployment

? Strong understanding of the principles of information architecture and user-centered information design, site and application usability, and website design experience

? Solid understanding of web navigation, user habits and browser compatibility

? Strong knowledge of Photoshop is required for slicing, cutting, optimizing web graphics for speed and performance

? Proven skills creating web forms

? Proficient in graphics related design for web based applications and programming

? Must be able to work independently on small and large scale projects, manage multiple projects at once and possess good organizational skills
