We have an excellent opportunity for Web Production Artist at our Woodland Hills facility.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Create site layout comps based on UI designSlice and optimize images/graphics for various web projectsScan, touch-up and upload photographs and graphics for the LA.com website.Create in-house collateral materials such as promotional flash banners, HTML newsletters and micro sitesDevelop design concepts, IAB standardized banners and tiles, navigational elements, graphic images, icons, titles, etc., including: scanning, cropping, and creating images/files in Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator and/or Quark.Optimize images and graphics for the WebDeliver final graphic elements to the Web Development staff for inclusion in the final product.Produce original designs for use in presentations and promotions of online services and products (Web sites, intranet sites, CD-ROM applications, print, and video); Edit HTML as needed.

 

Successful candidates must possess: 1-3 years experience in Web site graphic designExperience with desktop publishing/design programs including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Image Ready, Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator and QuarkExperience in a Macintosh environmentExperience with Macromedia FlashWorking knowledge of multimedia tools (such as Director), AV tools (such as AfterEffects), and 3-D animation tools (such as Infini-D) are helpfulExhibit leadership ability, and exercise good judgmentStrong attention to detailSelf-motivated and deadline-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skillsExcellent inter-personal skills and flexible and able to work both as a team member and independentlyA portfolio of Web sites and interactive media showcasing prior web design & development workBachelor's degree, preferably in Graphic Design, Art, English or equivalent experience.
