Position Summary:

The e-Business Specialist should assist ELOA Project Managers to maintain project momentum during the life cycle of all e-Business IT projects.  e-Business Specialist should have broad acumen of technologies and business to bridge the gap between the two groups.  It is ideal that the e-Business Specialist can fulfill a business analyst capacity when the project deems it critical to the quality of the project and business goals.  e-Business Specialist should be skilled in the writing of functional business requirements as well as ensuring the integrity of those requirements are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

* Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems/applications and/or user needs. Formulates requirements to parallel overall business strategies.

* Works closely with the Directors and Managers of e-Business to ensure effective execution of the strategies to improve overall e-Business initiatives.

* Compiles project status reports to Director over the project initiatives.

* Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure that project deliverables are effectively communicated and project risks are quickly retired.

* Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables.

* Works with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.

* Identifies and helps to develop strategic relationships with content and technological partners.

* Assists in the development and implementation of content on websites.  May be involved with integrating work of writers and designers to produce a final concept.

* Responds to customers (internal or external) needs relating to the intellectual property of e-Business and/or Customer Service.

* Reports directly to the Director of e-Business.

 

Essential Job Requirements:

* Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. 

* Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for software development methodologies and internet technologies.

* 1-2 years in the healthcare industry or equivalent is desired.

* Exposure to internet or new media.

* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

* Performs a variety of tasks.

* A degree of creativity and latitude is required.

* Proficiency in MS Office Tools to include Visio.

* Ability to write HTML and understands the concepts of wireframing, prototyping and use cases.
