e-Commerce Marketing Director

As Director of E-Commerce you will take a crucial role within the business, taking responsibility for the company's e-commerce offering. You will oversee product placement and on-line marketing initiatives. In addition you will oversee small and talented team of creative, innovative, and technical web professionals.

We're looking for a graduate-caliber marketer with at least three years online marketing experience. You will have experience of initiating an e-commerce function, and the associated challenges. You will have the ambition, drive and creativity to push the limits of what can be achieved. Good interpersonal and managerial skills are a must. A successful candidate will also have the ability to read/write HTML and work within HTML design software, such as Dreamweaver, and content management systems (Site Executive). A successful candidate would be familiar with web analytics packages.

Join our team; act as a key stakeholder in driving our commercial strategy. Gain wide exposure and insight into all facets of our organization - be responsible for a wide array of duties encompassing organizing our communications, managing long-term strategic projects, and to day-to-day execution of critical initiatives and assignments.

Responsibilities Include:

-Work within a defined budget to direct all aspects of a multimillion-dollar online marketing business (websites, e- marketing, search engine marketing)

-Analyze and report on all online marketing efforts. Implement changes to positively impact bottom line.

-Direct a team of 3-4 persons, and assist with the implementation of websites, e-mail newsletters, landing pages, online promotions.

-Liaison with copywriters, editorial, direct mail marketers to implement promotional changes.

-Direct and assist with list research efforts.

-Maintain high standards of quality for all e-mail/web based content & design.

-Stay up to date with new trends and new opportunities in online marketing.

Our client is a holding company of various international publishers of financial, health, travel and special interest books and newsletters. Their mission is to serve as a modern marketplace for news and breakthrough ideas.

These various companies offer their customers ideas, information and insights. But they do so in a manner very different from the traditional publishing house.
