Assistant Director - Investigations & Operations

 

This position is responsible for departmental short-and long-term planning and operations including budgeting, metrics, and staff management.  Incumbent is also responsible for the planning, directing, conducting, and monitoring of Company investigations, both internal and external, as related to criminal activity, intellectual property issues, protection of proprietary information, supply chain insecurity, or other areas as assigned.  This position will have management responsibility for the Investigative staff within the department, as well as the managing and directing of external investigative services or liaising and coordinating with external law enforcement as appropriate. 

 

Must have strong management skills including planning, forecasting and budgeting and be able to manage a geographically dispersed investigative and security organization.  Must be a career security and investigations specialist, with expertise in all aspects of security, including information security, physical security, personnel security and asset protection.  Must have highly refined interview/interrogation/debriefing skills; being a Reid graduate is a major plus.  Must be able and willing to travel frequently within the United States and to overseas subsidiaries. 

 

Education/Experience requirements include:

 
Bachelor?s degree, higher education is preferred. 
Formal training in investigative techniques and security management that supplements experience is a plus, but cannot substitute for education. 
Minimum of 10-15 years successful experience in the security and investigative field. 
Must have experience in managing a corporate security organization and a familiarity with standard management skills, to include responsibility for development and execution of a budget, managing to objectives, and recruiting. 
Experience must include work in security organizations responsible for information, physical, and personnel security. 
Experience running undercover operations with highly-developed expertise in report writing and documentation of efforts, supervising outside investigators, running source operations, and coordinating with law enforcement. 
Experience in intellectual property investigations and enforcement is desirable. 
Strong background in actual conduct of global anti-counterfeiting investigations and enforcement operations is a plus.
