Assistant Facilities Security Officer

Calnet Inc. a  consulting firm whose headquarters is in Reston, VA is seeking an energetic and talented Assistant Facility Security Officer to join its growing team. 

 

CALNET POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as Assitant Facility Security Officer responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the National Industry Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) requirements and various other related Federal Government requirements associated with all types of classified information maintained at the corporate headquarters. Candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) and Private Industry security regulations. Must have a thorough knowledge and past performance history of working with various government agencies and operational security disciplines.

 

Position requires an extensive knowledge pertaining to all facets of technical and physical security of classified operations. Thorough working knowledge of COMSEC procedures, classified material control system, EPSQ, NISPOM, DCID's and other related security directives. Proven proficiency with security related software to include internet security programs.

 

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Security duties to be performed will include but are not limited to:

 

- Develops, implements and maintains security procedures and associated manuals to meet required government and contract specific requirements/regulations. Assist FSO in adherence of all NISPOM rules

- Process personnel security clearances through the Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ), the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), the U.S. Army Contractor Automated Verification System (ACAVS), and the future use of Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing. (e-QIP).

- Ensures facilities, automated equipment, procedures and policies are properly accredited.

- Prepares and presents security education, awareness and training.

- Review DD-254's for accuracy.

- Processes visitor authorization letters (VAL's) and badge requests.

- Prepares and distributes security activity/status reports/metrics as required.

- Perform Classified Non-Disclosure Agreement processing and program maintenance.

- Completes required Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO) reports on individuals and the facility as needed.

- Maintains accountability of classified documents and implements physical security measures as necessary.

- Serves as liaison to local DSS representative.

- Conducts self inspections and supports periodic internal/external audits.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Top Secret clearance
