Director of Security Iraq-Afghanistan

Direct the security programs and personnel in assigned country. In collaboration with Security Managers, Supervisors, and Operators coordinate security activities for the protection of our on going operations, infrastructure, and interests. Secure and protect our staff, clients, and other assigned designee. Assist other security services, agencies to minimize threats to assigned assets. Provide leadership and supervision to our security staff. Assist management in matters related to security

 

Summary of essential job functionsResponsibilities:

1. Direct and administer the security programs in assigned country

2. Recommend and implement security policies and procedures.

3. Respond to emergencies that threaten lives, property, or our interests

4. Provide threat assessments and coordinate information with parties of interest

5. Manage all security or emergency incidents involving our staff, property or clients including but not limited to threats of bodily harm, kidnapping, and any other man made or natural disasters that jeopardize the security and safety of our interests. 

6. Coordinate security for specific events or clients

7. Serve as liaison with outside military, government, and law enforcement agencies regarding any incidents involving our interests.

8. In conjunction with appropriate senior staff manage mitigate any internal or external threats.

9. Provide staff leadership and supervision including staff planning, performance management and development

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree

Experience required:

Ten years experience in Federal Law Enforcement, Military, or Homeland Security, or Special Operations team for major US city. Secret clearance or ability to obtain same required. 

Extensive experience in personal security operations, infrastructure protection, general investigations.

Experience with use of firearms

Proven successful supervisory and staff leadership skills.

Computer literate

Experience in budget planning and preparation

Experience with state of the art electronic security communications equipment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proven ability to deal on a professional level with other military, law enforcement, or governmental agencies.

Special Knowledge Skills required

Use of firearms

Driver large suv, van or up-armored transport

Basic Life Saving {first aid}

Use of communication equipment & computers

Conditions:

Prolonged standing

Climbing stairs

Frequent walking

May require running on occasion

May require extreme physical exertion in emergency situations

Exposure to all extremes of weather

International travel, travel to war zones required
