Temporary
High School diploma required. Must be actively working towards a degree in emergency management, public administration, public health, natural sciences or political science. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, leadership, organizational and analytical skills are required.

Applicants should be highly self-motivated with the ability to manage and implement programs and projects. Knowledge of public health programs or emergency response experience in public health, and the ability to utilize emergency management principles to assist in exercise development required. Good working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point; and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

Job Description :
Perform functions as a member of an exercise planning and support team. Exercises will focus on homeland security and preparedness issues. Responsibilities include all aspects of exercise planning and support, to include attending exercise design meetings; development of complete exercise materials including preparation of associated documentation such as exercise situation manuals, exercise plans and handbooks, evaluation guides, and PowerPoint briefings; exercise execution, analysis of exercise evaluation data, and the writing of after-action reports. Because of these requirements for exercise development prior knowledge of FEMA or ODP HSEEP exercise design products and evaluation methodology is helpful.
