LIEUTENTANT- TAMPA, FL
JOB DESCRIPTION: Handles the day to day operation of the site specific guard contract by meeting all contractual requirements, schedules personnel to minimize overtime, ensures that posts are staffed, provides direct supervision of security officers. Maintains order and discipline of security officers in accordance with established Rules of Personal Conduct and contractual agreements. Ensures that officers have appropriate uniforms and equipment. Provides input regarding performance evaluations. Stands post when necessary. Requires frequent scheduled weekly travel within the state and some periodic overnight travel. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Diploma/GED required and minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience in job related field or as specified in the contract and three years security/law enforcement/military experience. Current FL State ?D? & ?G? licenses required.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Supervisory and conflict management skills; PC skills helpful including Word, WordPerfect and Excel; problem solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to meet emergency scheduling and posting situations on short notice. Extreme flexibility for scheduled work hours to include weekends and holidays, as required.
