The Collier County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is a progressive and professional law enforcement agency in Southwest Florida. Members of the CCSO possess and demonstrate integrity and professionalism with a proactive commitment to our community-oriented policing programs. With National and State Accreditation, we serve the public from our East Naples Headquarters, six substations and two state of the art jail facilities.

 

A Deputy Sheriff serves as the alter ego of the Sheriff. A Deputy is appointed to provide for the safety and welfare of the county's population and visitors. A Deputy must be physically and mentally able to enforce local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Must respond to emergency situations. A complete job description is available upon request.

Minimum qualifications for position:
Applicant must meet one of the three following criteria: (1) 18 months or more of full time experience as a law enforcement officer or corrections officer; OR (2) Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college; OR (3) 18 months or more of full time experience (active duty) as a Military Police Officer with an honorable discharge. Applicants, who are unable to meet any of the above qualifiers, may choose to gain experience as a Jail Deputy with the CCSO.

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age and a US citizen. NO maximum age.

Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.

Must have a crime free background with little or no use of illegal substances.

Trainee positions are available. We will sponsor applicants in appropriate law enforcement academy and pay a salary of $16.10 per hour while you attend. Once you pass the state certification exam, the salary increases to $17.31 per hour (2236 hours per year). Applicants with 2 to 5 years of experience will increase to $40,828 base salary. Applicants with 5 or more years experience will increase to $43,060 per year. Additional education incentive monies are available to certified members. A $3000.00 cash incentive is currently being offered to all successful candidates to help purchase equipment not provided by CCSO and or moving/living expenses.
