Manager of Fire Prevention/Protection Manager and Emergency Response

The Securitas Automotive Service Division has an exciting new position for a Manager of Fire Prevention/Protection Manager and Emergency Response with the Securitas ASD Group in Detroit, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for serving as the emergency response coordinator of the Renaissance Center complex which includes maintaining and test the emergency response of the site; coordinating, enhancing, maintaining, and testing all aspects of local emergency management and response for the Renaissance Center complex; acting as liaison between Renaissance Center and the local community in regard to emergency prevention, mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery; Coordinating pre-emergency planning and assists in the implementation of the emergency plan with both facility and outside emergency organizations. (i.e. Police and Fire Departments, Local Emergency Management, etc.); Coordinates Fire Department visits to the facility; supports implementation of new methods for preventing or mitigating new threats, such as terrorism, to Renaissance Center employees, facilities, and business operations, as directed; as well as auditing the facility for compliance with Securitas and GM policies and procedures regarding fire prevention/protection issues, ensuring all records are maintained and in compliance with required standards,  and that appropriate training has been conducted for the procedures.

 

 

Knowledge:

 

? Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial or related) or equivalent fire technology courses and/or equivalent experience.

 

? 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Industrial Fire Protection, Highly Protected Risk, Engineering, OSHA compliance or related experience in facilities engineering.

? Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.

? Computer literate (word processing, spreadsheets).

? Demonstrated planning, organization, and leadership skills.

? Ability to be an effective leader.
