Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

Quality Assurance (qa) SPECIALIST

 

Wackenhut Services, Inc., (WSI) security contractor to the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Nevada Test Site (NTS), is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst.   The NTS is approximately 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas.  Reports to the QA Manager and participates as part of the Quality Assurance Team.

 

Primary Functions: 

Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of QA programs to ensure compliance with DOE, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and WSI directives.  Facilitates and assists in the Quality Assurance Program and Total Quality Management Program. Administers the WSI Quality Assurance Program and maintains the Assessment Tracking System database.  Conducts quality related analysis including risk, trending and causal analysis.  Develops, monitors, and reports performance improvement metrics.  Provides training in quality principles for WSI employees as required.

 

Requirements:

B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of academic training and experience.  A minimum of two years Quality Assurance experience to include conducting QA-related analysis such as risk, causal, deficiency and trend analysis.  Knowledge of organizational systems, functions, and processes is required.  Skill in preparing and delivering formal briefing presentations and multitask management strongly desired.  Knowledge of the Nevada Test Site and Department of Energy/NNSA operational security and training is preferred but not required.  Skill in MS Office programs, including Word, Access, Excel is required.  Skill in Project Manager and PowerPoint is strongly recommended.

 

WSI is a DOE Contractor.  Candidate must have a background which would not preclude a security clearance being granted.  In order to obtain a clearance, candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
