SECURITY RESPONSE TEAM MANAGER
Hoffman Estates, IL

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, management, and mentoring to the Security Response Team staff.
Respond to security breaches immediately to ensure systems and applications recover functionality.
Lead computer forensics investigations using commercial forensics tools.
Provide technical leadership for the configuration and maintenance of the security monitoring systems.
Interface with the business areas to identify criteria for incident determination and response.
Develop security monitoring and response policies & guidelines.
Participate in Information Security planning.
Oversee the configuration and performance of the perimeter security systems.
Identify security threats and recommend countermeasures.
Respond to security audit questions, and consult on modifications/changes.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of hands-on, technical experience in security intrusion detection/prevention.
Solid understanding of security incident response methodologies, industry best practices and generally accepted information security principles.
Solid understanding of Windows file systems, file formats, and architecture.
Solid understanding of Cisco networking products configuration, design, and architecture.
Advanced working knowledge of tools, techniques and technologies for securing large infrastructures, including intrusion prevention and virus detection, firewalls, VPN's DMZ's, TCP/IP authentication encryption, SSH, SSL, LDAP, Active Directory, network scanning, penetration testing.
Strong technical project management background.
CISSP and/or GIAC certification a plus.
