Security Grave Shift Supervisor

Securitas Security Services USA (Securitas USA) is seeking a qualified security professional to function as a Security Shift Supervisor assigned to the Cisco Systems, Inc. account in San Jose.  The Security Shift Supervisor position is designed to provide daily supervisor of all assigned officers.  The Security Shift Supervisor is also to respond to all safety and security calls for service and provide excellent service to all members of the organization.  Security Shift Supervisor must have excellent customer service skills and be able to make appropriate business decisions under various security and safety related situations.

 

Responsibilities

 

Security Shift Supervisors are responsible for providing daily supervision and mentoring to all assigned security officers.  In addition to providing daily support to the security officers and the assigned team, they are responsible to provide training, counseling and daily supervision.  The supervisor will perform daily shift briefings and ensure that all members of the security team are providing excellent service.  Security Shift Supervisors will respond to all safety, security and medical calls for service on the assigned Cisco Systems, Inc. campus.  The supervisor will be responsible for handling all calls for service in professional manner and documenting all incidents on a daily report form and a computerized system. 

 

Security Shift Supervisors are responsible for the day to day security and safety operational issues on the assigned shift. The Security Shift Supervisor will be responsible for acting in a proactive capacity to ensure safety and security compliance from all Cisco Systems, Inc. employees and officers.  In addition to supervisory duties, the supervisors will be expected to perform basic security functions to include but not limited to fielding customer service issues (badge access, etc.), assisting with evacuations and major emergencies (ERT Call Outs), perimeter security audits, and basic service requests such as unlocks, lockdowns, escorts, special events and disciplinary standbys.

 

Job Requirements

 

 

?  Minimum of 3 years of corporate safety & security experience. 

?  1 ? 2 years of security supervisory experience required. 

?  Must be completely computer literate and have experience in creating flow charts and presentations.

?  Must have experience in Incident Command System and supervision.

?  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

?  Excellent customer service skills.

?  Must be detail oriented and work well under pressure.

?  Must be dependable and demonstrate excellent leadership skills. 

?  Must be able to effectively multitask and prioritize.

?  Must appear and present them self professionally.

?  Must be a team player and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.

?  Must have excellent computer skills (MS Word, Email, etc).

?  Must be able to write detailed reports. 

?  Must possess a valid driver?s license and have a good driving record.

?  Must have First Aid, CPR and AED certification.

?  Minimum 1 year of related college courses preferred. 

?  Must have flexibility to work other shifts or overtime if necessary.

?  Must a current state guard card.

?  Willing to submit to background procedures including drug screen and
background check.
