The McGraw Hill Companies is seeking highly motivated and experienced candidates for the position of Corporate Executive Security Supervisor for our Corporate Headquarters location, at 1221 Ave of the Americas location in NYC. Responsibilities include the supervision of console operations, contract security personnel and security receptionists. Assists in the security of events held in the Conference Services area, McGraw Hall and at off site locations, chauffeur for senior executives and Board members, Team Leader for staff supervisors and Fire Safety Team organizer, acting as  coordinator between Chairman’s floor and facilities, building services and reception. This position will include duties to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, protection of company assets and the ability to respond appropriately to issues and requests by senior management.

The Security Supervisor will directly oversee the performance of the assigned contract  security staff and ensure continued in-service training standards are met. Candidate must possess strong communication skills and demonstrate superior knowledge and skills in Public Safety and/or Security Management. Prior law enforcement or corporate security background is preferred including college level studies in criminal justice or completion of a Professional Security Management course. Candidate will be required to conduct sensitive internal investigations, executive protection and must possess the required background and writing skills necessary to carry out these duties. Candidate must currently possess or be immediately capable of securing a NYS Security Guard License and be in excellent physical condition.
