Under general supervision of the Director of Security, this position manages activities related to the protection and security of hospital assets and information as well as the security of all persons on hospital property. This position will supervise and manage all central monitoring services, including the access control and security systems, employee identification and the Communication Center. Ability to successfully complete various training courses necessary to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities, to include being able to respond to any incident/emergency 24/7. Ability to multi-task and meet established deadlines. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make sound decisions in handling many different issues with the security system and personnel. Knowledge and prior experience with the C*CURE 800 Security System is necessary. Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication ability. Must be ethical, reliable, trustworthy and a team-player. High School and two years of college courses. Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience or training in an appropriate discipline. 2 to 4 years experience in diverse administration.
