Site Contingency Planner

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.  Position is the central point of Administration/Coordination for the Security Contingency Planning Office organization at the assigned site. 

 

2.  Administrative tasks include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

 

a.)  Coordinates and publishes rosters.

b.)  Ensures that documents and files are up to date in all crisis room locations.

c.)  Answers phones and assists site personnel.

d.)  Does copying, filing, and research as needed.

 

3.  Inventories and orders supplies.

 

4.  Maintains the Building Emergency Leader program, including training of members.

 

5.  Plans exercises and drills.  Prepares action reports and presentations.

 

6.  Edits and updates contingency planning compliance documents.

 

7.  Schedules and coordinates meetings.  Prepares for, and participates in, emergency preparedness events.

 

8.  Facilitates teams.

 

9.  Functions as Site Contingency Planner during emergencies:

 

a.)  Performs crisis room activation/de-activation procedures.

b.)  Facilitates crisis team during events.

c.)  Manages and ensures staffing for support workstations.

d.)  Prepares and presents after action reports.

 

10.  Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assigned site(s).

 

11.  Requires 24/7 availability.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

 

Education/Experience:  Requirements include a Bachelor degree and 2 years of responsible experience in emergency response or planning, administrative office functions or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Should be at a proficient level with Microsoft Office computer operations to include:  Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
