Site Security Manager

Major Accountabilites: 1-Manage the Physical Protection, Fitness for Duty and Access Authorization programs for the station
2-Direct and monitor the performance of the security contractor and direct the activities of the station licensee security staff
3-Develop and manage the station security budget
4-Advise and counsel station management on security, Fitness for Duty and Access Authorization issues
5-Identify and implement industry best practices to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient use of resources
6-Participate in the establishment and implementation of strategic plans for the security orgainization
7-Participate in the maintenance of the Physical Protection, Fitness for Duty and Access Authorization Programs

This position includes managerial responsibilities for a work force of approximately 100 personnel and a significant of the Station's operating budget. The performance of the security force and programs has significant effect on the regulatory performance of the station. Deficiencies can lead to enforcement action and/or civil penalties. This position requires routine decision making which will affect station and company regulatory and financial performance. The individual must maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Educational/Licensure/Experience requirements (technical or academic) required for candidates for this position:

1-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in FBI, Secret Service or other formal police/investigatory organization -or-
Ten (10) years nuclear experience with a working knowledge of security requirements

2-Five (5) years supervisory experience

3-Ability to maintain Unescorted Access
