Qualifications

Required

Weight proportional to height. Able to pass Physical Abilities Test. Willing to participate in 26 weeks of physically demanding training. Engages in regular physical activity

Vision correctable to 20/30 in each eye with a 140-degree vision field.

Good moral character. Ethical. Uses good judgement when making decisions.

Willing to accept assignment anywhere in Florida.

Valid Driver's License

Nineteen years of age or older

United States Citizen

High School Diploma or equivalent experience and one of the following: 1. one year of sworn or non-sworn law enforcement experience 2. two years of active and continuous U.S. military service 3. Two years of public contact experience. 4. Successful completion of 30 semester hours at an accredited college or university.

Preferred

Experience relaying sensitive information to appropriate parties. Keeps clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports updated based on their information needs.

Is a compelling and articulate speaker in a variety of settings. Easily adjusts the message to match the audience.

Florida certified law enforcement officers with one year of sworn law enforcement experience in Florida.

Two years of active continuous U.S. military service with an honorable discharge

Sixty semester hours at an accredited college or university
