AVP,?Paralegal

The Paralegal serves as a subject matter expert possessing in-depth knowledge and experience in litigation.?In this capacity, the paralegal provides direct support to the attorney who renders legal advice and assistance on litigation matters.?The paralegal is required to perform complex factual research, some legal research, prepare legal and factual memoranda or reports, and coordinate support activities necessary to meet discovery or filing requirements.?The Paralegal is also required to serve as a liaison between the Law Department and client organizations, as well as outside counsel.?



The successful candidate will possess a four year undergraduate degree?and a paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited institution.?Two to three years experience as a litigation paralegal is preferred.?Additionally, this candidate should have the ability and willingness to undertake additional paralegal training and continue legal education courses.?PC proficiency including word processing and email. The paralegal will be required to obtain a notary certificate.
