Your tasks
Under the direction of the Associate Director, the Analyst will be responsible for the negotiation of synchronization licenses for DVD releases and other video configurations by analyzing recording agreements and producer agreements to determine necessary clearances.
Additional duties will include: performing royalty calculations for CD/DVD combos, monitoring video schedules to help prioritize clearances; processing payment of royalties and fees and the execution of licenses; as well as preparing monthly forecasts of anticipated royalties and accruals for royalty accounting and finance under the guidance of the Associate Director.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Analyst will also be expected to become involved with New Media video exploitation including Dual Discs.


Our requirements
Position requires knowledge of/familiarity with standard copyright clearance procedures for video releases. Applicants must have knowledge of controlled composition clauses in artist agreements, applying them to royalty calculations, and summarizing them for interdepartmental use. Applicants must also know standard mechanical licensing procedures, and more importantly, synchronization licensing, clearing, and negotiationing for video product.
The position also requires: ability to handle many complex and time-sensitive projects simultaneously and to quickly and accurately complete a very high volume of work under intense deadline pressure; flexibility and the ability to deal with project uncertainty and change; independent follow-through on projects; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent quantitative and analytical skills; outstanding attention to detail and to organization; and capacity to communicate with a wide range of persons both inside and outside the company in a professional manner.

Computer skills required: experience working with general indexing databases, advanced proficiency in Excel and Word. Candidates bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
