Connecticut Corporation seeks to grow its law department with the following opportunites:
1. Litigation-Mid-level (5 years), preferably with first chair trial experience to handle an active case load in the following areas:primarily commercial litigation, some claims litigation, some employment litigation. Needs to be able to operate independently with little oversight.
2. Bankruptcy - to handle bankruptcy, consumer and commercial debt collection issues and to also be the "resident expert" and get involved in customer service issues.
3. Purchasing Lawyer-Could be junior to experienced-Contracts Laywer who will have a large portfolio of work, including commercial contracts, IP contracts (software licensing), transportation contract issues (company has a large fleet of trucks), and a variety of other business contracts issues and negotiations.
4. Infrastructure Lawyer-Junior-Large Scale Construction Contracts experience - company is involved in many large scale infrastructure development projects and needs a lawyer with construction contracts experience to negotiate the construction contracts, handle the negotiation and processing of construction claims when need be and handle the negotiations surrounding any and all construction transactions and then administer the agreements once they are executed.
5. State Regulatory Attorney-Junior (3 years)-Willing to train for this position because current company lawyers have substantial experience in this area and the department can afford to develop someone.
6. ERISA-Experienced Attorney-"Resident Expert" for qualified and non-qualified compensation plan design, employee retirement plans, welfare and fringe benefit plans, executive compensation issues and related tax issues, securities reporting. LL. M preferred. CT Bar Admission preferred.
