Audit Director

Clearly, we are well positioned for the future. We are currently looking for a qualified Audit Director to join our Internal Audit team at our worldwide headquarters in Islandia, NY.

This position is responsible to lead and/or perform financial and operational audits throughout the Company. Independently lead and/or perform complex financial and operational audits by reviewing the accounting and financial data of various departments within an organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with government guidelines and laws. Write/update detailed narratives of areas being audited. Identify any improper accounting or documentation and researches issues and make recommendations to improve policies or procedures accordingly; bring them to the attention of the SVP, Internal Auditing. Must also have the ability and desire to transform/evolve the Internal Audit organization towards improved effectiveness. Prepare reports on findings and recommend improvements in policies, procedures, and internal controls. Make recommendations for improving internal control audits and audit reports. Work with outside auditors to help reconcile discrepancies or support the external auditing function. Lead in the development and administration of internal audit policies and procedures. Lead and/or participate in special projects as assigned. Establish procedures and guidelines to be applied by members of Internal Audit staff.

The successful candidate will have 10 plus years of internal auditing experience. Excellent operational/financial background coupled with solid analytical skills. Excellent problem solving abilities and high initiative. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to travel 30% globally. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field as well as graduate degree in finance preferred.
