Business and Contracts Specialist - Legal

We are Leadfusion, an online financial services marketing platform used to Capture, Cultivate and Convert Online Leads. As a growing ASP-based company with over 250 financial services clients, including 8 of 10 Top U.S. Banks, we are seeking a Business and Contracts Specialist. While this position initially will be part-time it has the potential to evolve into a full-time role. Operating in a matrix organization this position is responsible for the overseeing and collaborating with senior management on legal matters pertaining to Leadfusion?s business.  The position requires an understanding of the laws, rules and regulations related to Leadfusion?s business, specifically related to contractual language associated with intellectual property, indemnification and the software development industry.  This role will

 

? Manage in-house legal matters affecting the overall business. Determine when to escalate such matters to outside counsel and direct and oversee all work performed by outside counsel. Advise management of the laws pertaining to each matter and recommendations for course of action.

? Create and manage legal documents related to sales and educate Leadfusion employees in the use of these documents.

? Negotiate and close all sales contracts with non-standard terms

? Review all contracts, including contracts pending renewal, anomalies in pricing or terms, associated business risks, etc.

? Ensure accuracy and record contract details in sales database

? Ensure Leadfusion is and remains in compliance with all existing and new laws, rules and regulations related to Leadfusion?s business including Service Level Agreements, Licensing and Services Agreements, Web Site disclaimers, and product terms of use. 

? Develop and improve processes and procedures to effectively manage the legal department and routing and approval of legal matters.

 

In order to be successful in this position our candidates must possess: 
? Five years of experience in a legal environment.

? Experience working with the Internet and software development industry and the laws surrounding those industries.

? Experience with MS Excel and database systems

? Proficient use of MS Word

? Degree in Business with major in legal studies preferred.
