Contracts Analyst

This position participates in the writing, drafting, editing, amending, updating and execution of all Payer Contracting Contracts and amendments to ensure that all provisions accurately reflect negotiated terms and are legally sound.  Coordinates contract implementation with all affected parties at Intermountain Healthcare. The Contract Analyst also assists in contract management, responds to payer inquiries and ensures that the contracting process is sound by maintaining a database of contracts and conferencing with General Legal Counsel.

 

In addition, this position will assist the Professional Provider Manager in all aspects of managing professional provider panels including, but not limited to:Responding to and resolving professional provider claim issues and related payer inquiries.  Maintaining professional provider database.  Updating provider download and distributing to payers.Coordinating communications to the providers or payers.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) or more years equivalent related, professional experience. A working knowledge of the health care and health insurance industry required. Extensive writing experience required. Must be proficient in current software tools such as Mircosoft Office. Knowledge of Intermountain policies and procedures preferred.  Possess attention to detail and sound decision making ability.Proven superior customer service skills.Experience in corporate/legal setting, medical terminology and HIAA I & II Certification preferred.  Must take initiative and have ingenuity to solicit support of all internal resources to meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision. Impeccable written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills required.
