Excellent opportunity for attorney with at least 10 years of practicing experience to join  and lead a corporate legal department.  Responsibilities include: supervising legal staff; coordinating the defense of company litigation with outside counsel; writing, reviewing and negotiating contracts; overseeing and assisting in review of all advertising material produced by the company for its clients; reviewing internal processes of the company for risk and best practice; providing counsel on intellectual property matters; assisting Senior Management on business operations. Requirements include: a law degree, Michigan Bar membership, and at least 10-15 years of diverse law experience, focusing on contract law (preferably including U.S. government contracts and FAR compliance), administrative law (FTC emphasis), intellectual property, and litigation. Experience in labor law and purchasing consultation a definite plus for this position. Candidate needs to possess strong presentation and communication skills, along with the ability to write clearly and concisely using the latest computer technology and develop strong business/professional relations with company staff, outside counsel, including client and supplier counsel.
